Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Western Atlantic: Greater Antilles (Hispaniola), except Cuba, and from Costa Rica to Colombia. Also Antilles (Ref. 26938).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in shallow sandy areas along beaches. Marketed fresh or salted, or sold for bait.
