Distinguished from all congeners by the unique combination of the following characters: dorsal-fin rays 3,8½ -9½ ; anal-fin rays 3,5- 5½ ; pectoral-fin rays 1,11; scales absent; two saddle-like dark blotches with fuzzy borders cranial to the dorsal fin and four saddle-like dark blotches caudal to the dorsal fin; distal margin of dorsal fin emarginate; pelvic fin reaching caudally almost to the anus; anus located immediately cranial to the origin of the anal fin;
caudal fin forked; caudal chamber of air bladder reduced to a small free protuberance; head slightly laterally compressed, head depth greater than head width at nape; caudal peduncle length 18.0-20.0% of SL; caudal peduncle depth 7.8-8.4% of SL; eye diameter 17.6-21.4% of HL; body depth 60.7-70.2% of HL; caudal peduncle depth 39.1-45.0% of caudal peduncle
length; body width at the base of caudal peduncle 59.0-68.0% of body depth at the base of caudal peduncle (Ref. 80923). |
Inhabits river with an altitude of 1770 m and a width of about 7 m (Ref. 80923). The river is in a karst gorge with rocky bottom (Ref. 80923). |
