Dorsal spines (total): 3-3; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-8; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 5-6; Vertebrae: 39-39. Diagnosed from other congeners by the following characters: highly developed pectoral fin, reaching beyond pelvic-fin origin; eyes present and vestigial; body covered with scales; dorsal and lateral sides of head and body mottled with blotches; dorsal fin emarginate; caudal fin forked; and anus close to anal-fin origin (Ref. 81047). |
Inhabits clear water in the cave with water temperature below 20° C. One stomach contains aquatic insects and copepods (Ref. 81047). |
