Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: subterranean fish found in underground river at Bajianjing, near Qifang of Gejiu, Yunnan, China.
Diagnosis:  Eyes degenerated and only with shallow concave; barbels 3 pairs; body naked and without pigment; lateral line pores clear.
Biology:  Cave-restricted species.
