Diagnosis: |
Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-13. Mid-lateral series of black blotches in anterior part of body, often fused to form a complete black mid-lateral stripe; conspicuous black blotch at caudal base; lips with a single row of large papillae (Ref. 43281). Differs from Traccatichthys pulcher by the absence of the distinct black submarginal streaks on dorsal and caudal fins and the presence of a dark brown lateral stripe, with 12-23 small chevron shaped marked (Ref. 40772). |
