Family:  Anthiadidae (Fairy basslets or Streamer basses)
Max. size:  16 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Western Pacific: southern Japan to the South China Sea.
Diagnosis:  This species has the following characters: scales below lateral line to anal fin origin 12-16; upper jaw length 13.2-14.6% SL; pectoral fin short 22.3-27.7% SL. Lengths in SL 6.85-12.78 cm (Ref. 127477).
Biology:  Caught in fairly deep water. Found in sandy-muddy bottoms of coastal deep waters (Ref. 41299).
