Distribution:  Africa: Lake Mweru (Ref. 45616) up to the middle Luapula (Ref. 41590) in Democratic Republic of the Congo. Presence in Zambia needs confirmation.
Diagnosis:  Description: relatively slender; head short, with pointed snout and straight to slightly rounded frontal profile; caudal fin rounded (Ref. 52307). Coloration: body olive-brown, with dark horizontal band running below dorsal fin; dorsal fin with dark outer margin; dark dots present in unpaired fins (Ref. 52307).
