Family:  Cichlidae (Cichlids), subfamily: Pseudocrenilabrinae
Max. size:  7 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: Endemic to the northern part of Lake Tanganyika.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Surf-dwellers, they occur among the pebbles on the shoreline often solitary. Feed on tiny crustaceans which are attached to rocks (Ref. 6770). Exhibit biparental mouthbrooding (Ref. 86760).
