Diagnosis: |
Description: one of the smallest species of the genus; head relatively short; frontal profile steep; rays of dorsal and anal fin less elongated that those of congeners; males only slightly larger than females, with a somewhat more massively developed head (Ref. 52307).
Coloration: body dark gray-brown; scales with light margins (Ref. 52307). |
Biology: |
Rheophilic; pair-bonding and cave spawning species; in contrast to congeners, it seems the male guards eggs and
wrigglers, while the female is primarily engaged in defending the territory (Ref. 52307). |
