Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 3-3; Dorsal soft rays (total): 25-25; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 9-9. Large eye (diameter 36.2% HL); predorsal length 47.6% SL; row of 4 open pores (2 on each side) on snout; last simple dorsal fin ray not serrated; dorsal, pelvic and anal fin rays branched; small knob at symphysis of lower jaw (Ref. 42977).
