Diagnosis: |
Body grayish black dorsally, milky white ventrally; sometimes with vertical, unclear stripes on sides of body; fins dark gray. Head wide and top flattened; snout bluntly conical and sides of snout with a deep groove between base of rostral barbels and mouth corners. Barbels 2 pairs; rostral slightly shorter than orbital diameter; maxillary somewhat thin. Caudal peduncle compressed; abdomen rounded. Scales on pectoral and abdomen buried in skin. |
