Family:  Sebastidae (Rockfishes, rockcods and thornyheads), subfamily: Sebastinae
Max. size:  30 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 99 - 293 m
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: San Pedro in southern California, USA to Guadalupe Island (off northern central Baja California) in Mexico.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Usually at around 200 m depth (Ref. 2850). Viviparous (Ref. 34817).
IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated (N.E.) Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
