Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: Mauritania to Angola.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-10; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 5-6
Biology:  Inhabits sand, mud and rock bottoms (Ref. 2683). Carnivorous (Ref. 43448).
