Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Eastern Himalaya from Tista drainage at Darjeeling through Nepal, to Karnali and Kali drainages in Uttar Pradesh, India (Ref. 4832). Reported from Bangladesh (Ref. 1479).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits rapid streams with gravelly bottom (Ref. 41236).

Threat to humans:  harmless
