Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-12; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Distinguished by the following combination of characters: 6-7 wide bars on body; processus dentiformis present; males have no suborbital flap; incomplete lateral line reaching tip of pelvic fin; 8 1/2 branched dorsal rays; 8+7 branched caudal rays; complete black basal caudal bar; axillary pelvic lobe present; anus immediately in front of anal fin (Ref. 39226). |
Biology: |
A 2.91 cm SL female has distended belly which contains ripe ovulae about 1.3 mm in diameter. Its stomach contains numerous larvae of Coleoptera (Ref. 39226). |
