Distribution:  Asia: Amur basin to Xi Jiang [Pearl River]; Mongolia and Korea. Found in Viet Nam (Ref. 89724).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 3-3; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-7; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 25-26. Dark gray in the back of the body, gray in the upper part of the body, silver white in the lower part and stomach ( Ref. 33303).
Biology:  Adults inhabit rivers and lakes (Ref. 26334).
