Diagnosis: |
The number of branched dorsal-fin and branched anal-fin rays are 9 in mode. The longitudinal scale series ranges from 33 to 34, with 4 to 7 pored scales. The vertebral count is between 32 and 34. During the breeding season, males display a yellowish iris, a yellow belly, an orange central portion of the caudal fin, and reddish-orange stripes on both the dorsal and anal fins. |
