Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: endemic to Turkey. Critically threatened by introduced species (Sander lucioperca); 15 specimens collected in April 2000 (Kai Stölting & Tomas Hrbek, pers. comm., 2001).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in lakes.
