Family:  Labridae (Wrasses), subfamily: Corinae
Max. size:  10 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 52 - 57 m, non-migratory
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: thus far known only from Mauritius (Ref. 4392) and Seychelles (Ref. 10685). Randall 1986 (Ref. 4392) however does not discount the possibility of its existence in the Indo-Pacific region.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in seaward reefs, over rubble with some rock and coral (Ref. 9710).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 12 June 2008 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
