Max. size:  11.08 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 4 - 15 m
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Taiwan.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 9-9; Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-12; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 12-12. Head naked.
Biology:  Hovers in the water column about 1-4 m above reef slopes (Ref. 12956). Feeds on zooplankton during the day (Ref. 12956).

Threat to humans:  harmless
