Family:  Rhinobatidae (Guitarfishes)
Max. size:  113.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: southern Mexico to Peru and Chile, including the Galapagos Islands.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Mainly coastal, benthic species with unknown biology (Ref. 114953). May reach 170 cm TL (Ref. 12951). Ovoviviparous (Ref. 50449).
IUCN Red List Status: Vulnerable (VU); Date assessed: 24 February 2020 (A2d) Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
