Diagnosis: |
Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-8; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 8-8; Vertebrae: 24-24. Fresh samples are translucent lavender, silvery over abdomen; head naked, except opercle with large scales. Anterior nostril in a short membranous tube with a short posterior flap. Longitudinal series, 31 scales. Convex interorbital space. |
