Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range - 800 m
Distribution:  Southeast Pacific: off Chile.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 39-39; Anal soft rays: 34-34; Vertebrae: 46-46. Coronal pore absent. Small eyes, about 13% HL. Teeth unusually large and narrow-shaped, recurved inward (tips almost horizontal), forming a brushlike paved surface on jaws. Gill rakers unmodified. Pectoral fin rays 8 + 2 + 5. Skin on body pale, peritoneum brown (Ref. 43481).
