Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-9; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Characterized by brown to reddish brown body color with four white bars on head; body with seven white bars; presence of ocellated black spot or smudge covering basal part of first five dorsal spines; longitudinal scale series; ctenoid scales on body, breast, midline of abdomen and nape; maximum of three rows of cycloid scales on opercle; well developed vertical rows of papillae on cheek; depth of body 3.6 in SL (Ref. 90102); caudal fin rounded, shorter than head (Ref. 11441). |
