Max. size:  40 cm WD (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Rivers draining into Maracaibo Lake.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Prefers shallow muddy bottoms with turbid waters (Ref. 26543). Feeds on insect larvae (Ref. 26543).
