This species is distinguished by the following characters: with spinulated (without break) posterior and lower edges of praeoperculum; insertion of ventral fins is anterior to the vertical of the posterior edge of pectoral fin insertion; upper jaw extends beyond the vertical of the posterior edge of the eye; dorsal fin with 11 soft rays, anal fin with 8; rakers on the first gill arch 26; vertebrae 27 (Ref. 83718). |
