This species is distinct with the following characters: nasal barbels not reaching beyond the eye; outer row on first arch with 28 rakers (22 on the lower part of this arch); A + C = 170 rays; vertebrae 58; flattened snout and the head outline gradually raising from eyes to the occiput, without longitudinal light bands on the body (Ref. 83561). |
