Max. size:  6.34 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 4 m
Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean: presently known only from the northern tip of Sumatra, Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 12-12; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-7; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Description: Characterized by brown to nearly blackish color in preservative with two dark spots behind eye and dark oblique line below eye; tubed lateral line scales 19+14-16; midlateral line scale series 24; predorsal scales 5-6; cheek scale rows 4 (Ref. 90102).
Biology:  Eggs are guarded by the male parent (Ref. 205). Collected specimens from surge channels in 1-4 m (Ref 90102).
