Western Central Pacific: known only from the 2 specimens collected in 1909 in Togian Bay, Togian Island, Sulawesi (Indonesia). |
Dorsal spines (total): 12-12; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-7; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Description: Characterized by brown color in preservative with pair of short dark bars behind eye and anterior part of head densely speckled with small brown spots; tubed lateral line scales 18+7; midlateral scale series 24; cheek scale rows 5; sparse and very large sensory pore on head (to 1mm diameter) (Ref. 90102). |
Eggs are guarded by the male parent (Ref. 205). |
