Body grayish-yellow and back deep-colored; abdomen grayish-white; with five big black spots along the back; gray stripe along the lateral of the body; with small black spots on dorsal and caudal fins. Body slender, anterior section cylindrical and posterior part compressed; caudal peduncle slender; snout pointed and long; barbels 1 pair. Dorsal fin situated in anterior section of body; pectoral fin pointed. |
Often found in benthic communities; with clear current in sandy and rocky substratum. Inhabits rivulet tributaries vulnerable to such fishing methods as using electricity and poison (Ref. 45563). |
