Max. size:  50 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 25 - 35 m
Distribution:  Atlantic Ocean: rarely known from the islands of St. Helena and Ascension and Brazil (Ref. 54133); also in Ghana, Senegal and Cape Verde (Ref. 94547).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Burrows in sand or mud in shelf waters (Ref. 4455).
