Max. size:  5.78 cm SL (male/unsexed); 6.23 cm SL (female)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 17 - 23 m
Distribution:  Pacific Oceaan: China.
Diagnosis:  This species is distinguished from all its congeners by the following set of characters: a rounded hump-like tubercle on each of dorsal plates I, II, and III; clear hexagonal patterns in surface dorsal plate with a clear boundary; two paired caudolateral plates overlapping the junctions between tail rings II and III, and IV and V; formation of a bulge at the margin of the ventral plate that connected to the paired pelvic fins, and four strong rounded tubercles in the concave margin of the occipital (Ref. 131072).
Biology:  Collected by trawl from mud bottoms (Ref. 131072).
