Dorsal spines (total): 6-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 16-19; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 16-19. Description: Characterized by semi-translucent greyish body color; white belly; yellowish snout; cheek with blue markings; pale yellow stripe from eye to upper caudal peduncle, ending in series of blue spots; middle of caudal fin base with black spot; longitudinal scale series 61-81; presence of head pores around top and rear margin of each eye and two preopercular pores (Ref. 90102). |
Inhabits lower reaches of rivers and sheltered reefs (Ref. 37816). Found in small groups on silty reefs to about 10 meters depth (Ref. 48637). |
