Environment:  pelagic; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  Asia: Lakes Towuti and Mahalona, Sulawesi, Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-10; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 13-14. Distinguished from its congeners by the combination of the following characters: mouth directed upwards; 35-38 scales in longitudinal row; ethmoid elongate; and 13-14 branched anal rays (Ref. 7304). Description: First dorsal fin V-VI, second dorsal fin I,9-10 rays (Ref. 7304).
