Family:  Leuciscidae (Minnows), subfamily: Pogonichthyinae
Max. size:  12 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: Monongahela and Greenbrier River systems (Ohio River basin) in southern Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia, USA; possibly in Lake Erie drainage in New York and Ohio, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits rocky runs and pools of small to medium rivers.
