Diagnosis: |
This species is characterized by the following: head 22%SL; slanting mouth; simple teeth, small and numerous (> 35 rows); lower lobe of pectoral fin (externally) isolated (not connected to the upper lobe by a fin membrane), upper lobe with 11-13 rays; pectoral fin inferior in position with upper ray at he level of the posterior margin of the slanting mouth; radials 3 (2 + 0 + 1), rounded; dorsal fin origin above the posterior margin of the pectoral fin; brown skin, black peritoneum (Ref. 83988). |
