Distribution:	Asia and Oceania: southern New Guinea (Digul and Lorentz rivers in Irian Jaya, Indonesia and Laloki, Purari and Fly rivers in Papua New Guinea, but certainly more widespread).
Diagnosis:	Dorsal spines (total): 1-1; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-7; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 16-20
Biology:	Omnivorous, feeding on terrestrial arthropods, aquatic insects, plants, mollusks, prawns and fishes (Ref. 2847).
