Biology: |
Feeds on aquatic macrophytes and filamentous algae (Ref. 26700). In the aquarium it will feed on flakes and frozen food, but will also hunt down a large shrimp. Females are aggressive towards other females and can have several males in following (Calum Chalmers, pers. comm. 2007). |
