Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: Lufira River, upper Congo River basin, in Democratic Republic of the Congo (Ref. 82324, 122085).
Diagnosis:  Description: body slender; snout pointed; frontal profile rounded; caudal fin rounded (Ref. 52307). Coloration: body pale yellowish-brown; several dark vertical bars may be visible on body; body scales often with dark margins; some dark maculae in soft dorsal and anal fins (Ref. 52307).
Biology:  Rheophilic (Ref. 52307).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 16 February 2009 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
