Diagnosis: |
Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-11; Anal soft rays: 9-9. Distinguished from other species by having the following characters: head compressed; eyes present; dorsal-fin origin behind the pelvic-fin origin; entire body and belly covered by scales; incomplete lateral line with 3-4 pores; cephalic lateral-line system reduced, with only 2+4 infraorbital pores; caudal fin emarginate (Ref. 75196).
