Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-7; Anal soft rays: 9-9
Biology:  This species inhabits headwaters of streams with moderate flow velocities and clear water and a substrate composed of small to medium-sized pebbles and boulders (Ref. 137585).
