Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 13 - 15 m
Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean: southern Australia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 56-59; Dorsal soft rays (total): 1-1; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 43-45. Remarks: pectorals tiny, length less than eye diameter.
Biology:  Found in areas with seagrass, reef and weed (Ref. 33839). Minimum depth from Ref. 58018.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 06 May 2010 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
