| Diagnosis: | Dorsal soft rays (total): 6-7; Anal soft rays: 6-8. This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following set of characters: anal-fin rays xiii-xvi, 6-8; long adipose fin, its base length 24.1-28.8% SL, not confluent with caudal fin; small eye, its diameter 9-12% HL; interorbital distance 24-30% HL; head length 15.2-17.5% SL; body depth at vent 6.4-8% SL; maxillary barbel traversing pectoral fin; and caudal fin deeply forked, its upper lobe twice longer than lower (Ref. 138394). | |||
