Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 5 m
Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: Tobago.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 65-72; Anal soft rays: 50-54; Vertebrae: 38-40. This species is characterized by the following: snout with depression above the eye; no scales on cheek; dorsal fin rays 67-72, anal fin rays 46-51; otolith with separated colliculi; anterior part of posterior inner pseudoclasper thorn-like, directed forwards (Ref. 55786).
