Family:  Arhynchobatidae (Softnose skates)
Max. size:  37 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range - 450 m
Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: off northeastern Australia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Bottom-dweller that feeds on invertebrates. Oviparous (Ref. 50449). Eggs have horn-like projections on the shell (Ref. 205). Males reaches maturity at ca. 35 cm TL (Ref. 114953).
