Family:  Nothobranchiidae (African rivulines)
Max. size:  6.5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  Africa: temporary waters of the Bubu river, Bahi swamp and Lake Manyara basins in Tanzania.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 14-18; Anal soft rays: 15-16. Distinguished from all other species of the genus by having straight dorsal profile and marked, angular transition between head and body along the dorsal profile (Ref. 26713).
Biology:  Bottom spawner, X months incubation. Is difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
