Environment:  bathypelagic; marine; depth range - 555 m
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: known only from Fieberling Guyot in the Fieberling-Guadalupe seamount chain about 900 km west-south-west of San Diego, California.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 2-2; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-11. Soft rays on first dorsal fin 9-11; steep, blunt snout naked on venter; relatively weak suborbital ridge; moderately long, thin barbel. Dorsal spine and soft ray counts above taken from first dorsal fin.
Biology:  Minimum depth from Ref. 58018.
