Distribution:  Asia: Nujiang (upper Salween) and Longchuanjiang (upper Irrawaddy) in Yunnan, China.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 4-4; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-9; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 5-5. Last unbranched dorsal ray smooth with its upper1/3-1/2 articulated; sides of body with a dark longitudinal band. Scale rows between pectoral fin origin and lateral line 3.5; scale rows between ventral fin origin and lateral line 2.5
