Max. size:  5.7 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; depth range 2 - 7 m
Distribution:  Africa: endemic to Lake Tanganyika, only occurs to the north of the Lunangwa River, DR Congo (Ref. 47158).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 18-19; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-10; Anal spines: 6-7; Anal soft rays: 6-7; Vertebrae: 30-32. Body depth 30.2-33.7% of SL (Ref. 47158). A lunate, filamentous caudal fin (Ref. 47158). Caudal peduncle length is 102-114% of its depth (Ref. 47158). A yellow or orange-yellow body color with V-shaped markings on the preoperculum and operculum (Ref. 47158).
Biology:  Prefers the shallow, rocky habitat; maintains close contact with rocky substrate; adults do not form schools; omnivorous (Ref. 47158).
