Max. size:  3 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  pelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: Kwango and Kwilu rivers and the Kasai River drainage, in Angola (middle Congo River basin)(Ref. 11970, 95523, 96084).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 3-4; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-12; Anal spines: 3-4; Anal soft rays: 8-9
Biology:  Maximum TL was recorded at 3.7 cm (Ref. 7094).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 16 February 2009 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
